COMMUNITY SERVICE
Miller & Norford, Inc. has always been actively involved with the Keystone Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, whether in leadership positions within the council, contributing time on various council work projects, or making generous monetary donations to further the vision of the organization.As a result of this relationship, the Keystone Area Council contracted with Miller & Norford to make improvements in their Hidden Valley Scout Camp located in Loysville, PA. Along with Miller & Norford, contributions were made by several subcontractors and suppliers in the form of labor, materials, and equipment enabling the Council to enjoy two quality additions to their camp location at a price that was well within their budgetary requirements. The latest project undertaken in the fall of 2002 at the Camp is construction of foundations and framework for a practice rifle range. Renovations to the pool shower house are still being considered for Spring 2003.
Miller & Norford has also been actively involved with the Harrisburg Area YMCA in various capacities, including contributing time on work projects, and monetary donations to further the mission of the YMCA. Over the past few years,Miller & Norford has worked with Harrisburg Area YMCA to make improvements to several of their facilities thoroughout the Greater Harrisburg Area.
| 1997 | Design-Build renovations to the West Shore Branch including lobby, locker areas, and various public space. Phase II included expanding the cardio fitness and performance center and creating a new aerobics center. |
| 1998 | Design-Build renovations to the women's locker room, East Shore (Central) Branch. |
| 1999 | Design-Build renovations to the men's HFC area for the East Shore Branch. |
| 2000 | Design-Build boiler room building for the swimming pool HVAC for the Northern Dauphin YMCA |
| 2000 | Design-Build/Construction Management project consisting of new windows and storefront, pool roof and handicapped accessible toilet rooms for the Camp Curtin Branch. |
| 2000 | Design-Build renovations to the men's locker area for the East Shore Branch. |
| 2001 | Replaced weather damaged roof at Northern Dauphin YMCA with temporary roof. Miller & Norford completed new roof for Northern Dauphin YMCA in late fall. |
| 2001- 2002 | Minor renovations and construction management of door replacement and roof repairs at the Camp Curtin Branch. |
